Nvidia H100 AI GPU Released with 65K Price

The world of tech-inspired fashion has taken an unusual turn with the release of the H100 Purse, a handbag that claims to incorporate an Nvidia H100 AI GPU—or at least parts of it—into its design. This bizarre fusion of high-performance computing and luxury fashion has sparked curiosity, skepticism, and debate across the tech community.

From a $20 GPU to a Four-Figure Handbag

The company GPU Purses first gained attention when it transformed a humble $20 Nvidia GeForce GT 730 GPU into a handbag, selling it for over a thousand dollars. The concept, which many likened to a budget plastic handbag from Temu, quickly went viral. Now, GPU Purses is back with a more ambitious and significantly pricier offering—the H100 Purse.

However, unlike a complete graphics card, the handbag features only certain components of an Nvidia H100 GPU. At its center, a GH100 chip is prominently displayed, surrounded by LR22 and LR33 inductors. The product listing provides little technical information beyond describing it as a “rare one-of-a-kind GPT-4 training GPU”. Adding to the mystery, the listing also states that the purse is “subject to export controls”, though it remains unclear whether the bag actually functions as a GPU or is purely decorative.

A Luxury Price Tag for a Mystery Product

The H100 Purse is priced at an eye-watering $65,536, making it one of the most expensive GPU-related products ever marketed. This pricing puts it at more than double the cost of a working Nvidia H100 GPU, which currently retails for approximately $25,000. For that price, one could instead invest in an upcoming Nvidia GB200 Blackwell GPU, expected to be one of the most powerful AI chips in the industry.

While luxury fashion is often associated with exclusivity and craftsmanship, the H100 Purse’s quality remains dubious. The single promotional image and minimal product details fail to justify its astronomical price tag. Additionally, the GPU Purses website does little to instill confidence in its legitimacy.

Is GPU Purses a Legitimate Seller?

The lack of customer reviews, unclear product specifications, and an absurd pricing model raise significant doubts about whether GPU Purses is a genuine business or an elaborate satire. While some fashion brands have successfully incorporated tech elements into their designs, the H100 Purse seems to prioritize shock value over practicality.

Despite these concerns, the concept itself is intriguing. GPUs and other PC components are increasingly making their way into popular culture and fashion. For years, tech enthusiasts have been repurposing old hardware into wearable accessories. CPU keychains and circuit board jewelry are already widely available on platforms like Etsy, offering a much more affordable way to wear a piece of computing history.

Final Thoughts

The H100 Purse is an undeniably bold concept, but its practicality, legitimacy, and value remain highly questionable. For most people, spending $65,536 on a handbag that may or may not contain real Nvidia GPU parts is a tough sell.

For those looking to express their love for tech fashionably, there are far cheaper and more reliable options—whether it’s a $20 CPU pendant or a custom motherboard bracelet. But if someone is willing to drop six figures on a questionable plastic handbag, perhaps GPU Purses has found its niche after all.
